Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve is spread over 858 sq.Kms and is located on both sides of the Brahmaputra river. Patches of mixed deciduous forests are interspersed with vast stretches of Savannah grasslands, wetlands and chars of river islands formed by the shifting course of the Brahmaputra. It is host to 70% of world’s great one-horned Rhinoceroses. It is also home to Indian Elephant(Elephant Maximus), Tiger(Panthera tigris), Hoolock Gibbon (Bunipithecus hoolock), Ganges dolphin (Platanista gangetica), Sambar (Cervus unicolor), Barasingha or Swamp Deer (duvauceli), Hog Deer, Indian Muntjac (Muntiacus muntjak), Water Buffalo (Bubalus bubalis)and Gaur (Bos frontalis) among others. There are 500 species of birds on record including 25 species of threatened category. In winter one can observe a large breeding population of Spot Bill Pelicans in "Pelican Colony" in the Eastern Range of the park.
Arrive at Guwahati airport or railway station. You will be met by a representative of Exotic Journeys and transferred to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure.

Early morning elephant safari in the central (Kohora) range of Kaziranga. Later return to the resort for breakfast and independent activities. Late afternoon Jeep safari in the western (Bagori or Kohora) range of Kaziranga.

Early morning elephant or jeep safari. Nature walk and bird watching with resident naturalist.

Elephant Safaris available only in the morning. Jeep Safaris are available in the morning and in the afternoon. Number of safaris are restricted in different zones of the park at the sole discretion of wildlife authorities.
The park remains closed from May to October due to monsoon.
